Setting up a website for your small business doesn't have to be scary
OK, so how does it work?
We'll help you get started and take care of all the technical details for you. Depending our your resources - time and budget - you can start small with a simple one-pager to establish a basic online presence or launch a multi-page website to paint a bigger picture of what you have to offer.
Like any big task, it seems less daunting if you break it down into individual steps. To create your website, we need to do the following: determine what you want to achieve with your website, decide on the content and structure, choose the layout and design, build it, and launch it.
What are the goals of your website?
What do you want to accomplish with your website? Who do you want to reach? What's your business? Who are your competitors? Do you have a logo, corporate design, photos, texts or are you starting from scratch? Let's talk about your goals and budget and decide what works best for you right now.
Getting organized
Next, we need to figure out what content to include in your website and how best to organize it so your site visitors can easily find what they're looking for. It's time for some brainstorming - what terms will potential customers search for? What information will answer their questions and solve their problems? We'll help you decide what to publish on your website and how to structure it for top user-friendliness.
Looks aren't everything, but ...
An important part of getting and keeping visitors on your website is a good user experience. That includes attractive well laid-out content with eye-catching photos and compelling, informative text. Good site-navigation, fast page loading speed and easy usability on all devices, including mobile phones are essential. We'll work with you to find the right look-and-feel for your website, create a prototype and adapt it according to your input.
Building the site
Once we've agreed on the goals, structure and design, it's time to turn the vision into reality. If you do not yet have a domain name and hosting provider, we'll guide you through the process (don't worry - you can leave the tech stuff to us). We'll install and configure WordPress and create your website for you, complete with contact form and social media links. You will have plenty of opportunity to follow the development and provide feedback to make sure your website turns out the way you want it.
It's showtime
Before going live we'll extensively test the website to make sure all features, images, links and other functions work the way they should on desktop as well as mobile devices. We'll advise you on how to login to your website and make minor edits or create new content such as blog posts if that was part of the plan.
